Mother’s School Society holds an open day for the Palestinian prisoner’s families
Nablus, by Atif Douglas, for Humanityvoice.net - 2008-04-17

Familis of Palestinian prisoners

Majida Almasri, chairman, stressed the importance of standing by prisoners’ families in their daily suffering in light of the harsh economic conditions the families go through due to the absence of the family breadwinners.

Ms. Almasri noted the attention the society gives to the families because they are part of the fabric of the Palestinian society and their caused is in the heart of the Palestinian struggle.

Ms. Almasri called for ending the “futile” negotiation with the Israeli side in light of the continuing aggression against the Palestinian people and onslaught against Gaza. She added that Israel uses prisoners as a bargaining chip to blackmail the Palestinians.
