Sea voyages attempt to break the siege of the Gaza Strip

MP Jamal Al-Khudari, the head of the popular committee against the siege of Gaza expressed his appreciation to the Greek initiative to organize large and small vessels to visit the Gaza Strip in a new bid to break the Israeli blockade.

In a statement to the press, Al-Khudari, hailed those Greek organizations working on human rights and peace issues, in general, and those who launched the said initiative, in particular.

He added that, some members of the Greek Parliament, human rights and peace activists, in addition to some prominent figures will participate in those sea visits to the Gaza Strip in attempts to break the Israeli siege imposed since more than three years.

He explained that this initiative comes within the framework of previous initiatives in support of Gaza solidarity ships, flights, road convoys and humanitarian relief campaigns.

He pointed out that this sea voyage and other solidarity convoys carry important messages to alleviate the pressure of the Israeli occupation and to break the siege imposed on one million and a half of Palestinians who are trapped and deprived of a decent life in the Gaza Strip.
