Dr. Najeh Bkairat has reaffirmed that “ The situation in the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound is deteriorating and worsening with the Israeli attempts to include the Islamic holy shrines to its alleged heritage”.
The Jordanian daily Assabeel quoted Dr.Bkairat, Head of the Manuscripts at Al-Aqsa Mosque, as saying that “ the Israeli occupation is conducting the most dangerous decision in relation with the Palestinian cause by confiscating the Islamic sanctuaries and join them to the Jewish heritage.”
He added, that the Israeli manipulation underscores the Jewish mentality that seeks to prove that the historic lands of Palestine are Jewish and biblical lands, as a prelude to deport and displace the Palestinians from their homeland.
Dr Bkairat explained that Israel started this plan since 42 years by destroying the geography of the West Bank, isolating Al-Quds (Jerusalem) from its neighborhoods, and encircle the Gaza Strip by imposing the heinous blockade, consequently cutting the roads to Al-Aqsa Mosque.
He also pointed out that the rift in the Palestinian stance, and the Arabic decision have encouraged the Israeli occupation to go on with their offensive plans against Al-Aqsa and the Islamic holy shrines in Al-Quds and Al-Khalil (Hebron).
