OA) imposed restrictions on the entry to Al Aqsa Mosque

The Israeli occupation authority (IOA) imposed restrictions on the entry of Palestinian worshipers into the Aqsa Mosque in occupied Al-Quds (Jerusalem) on Monday.

The IOA imposed a state of alert in the holy city on the eve of the Jewish Passover and deployed thousands of policemen and imposed strict security measures in the Old City and in the vicinity of the Aqsa Mosque.

Local sources said that men less than 50 years old were not allowed access to the holy site along with foreign visitors.

Meanwhile, the grand daughter of Amin Al-Husseini, the former and late Mufti of Al-Quds ,has refuted an Israeli family claim that the Shepherd hotel in occupied Jerusalem was their property.

She said in a press release on Sunday that the estate was of the sole ownership of her grand father, who died in his exile in Lebanon in 1974 after the British mandate authority of Palestine banished him back in 1937.

She said that the project of establishing a settlement unit in place of the Mufti's property would not only destroy a Palestinian historical heritage but would also bisect Arab suburbs.

In a related context, the Aqsa foundation for endowment and heritage (AFEH) has warned of a new propaganda campaign launched by Jewish fanatic groups calling for the demolition of the Aqsa Mosque and the building of the alleged temple in its place.

AFEH said that the campaign openly calls for demolishing the Aqsa and establishing the temple in its place immediately.

It said that the campaign points to the Jewish "madness" that targets the Aqsa in various forms, noting that the campaign coincided with escalating Judaization campaigns and the Jewish Passover.

"The Aqsa Mosque and Al-Aqsa (Jerusalem) today are directly targeted," AFEH underlined.

Hebrew websites said that Eretz Yisrael movement had posted a big photo of the third temple placed on the site of the Aqsa Mosque on 200 buses of the Israeli Egged transport company.

They noted that the bus lines tour the eastern and western sectors of the city of Al-Quds on daily basis.
