Israeli occupation forces (IOF)burnt ten dunums of Palestinian cultivated land while quelling a peaceful anti wall demonstration in Irak Burin village, Nablus district, on Saturday.
Local sources said that the IOF troops attacked the march only minutes after it started heading to the Palestinian land threatened with confiscation.
They said that the excessive use of teargas burnt the cultivated field while many participants were treated for breathing problems.
The soldiers closed the entrance to the village and blocked entry of journalists and foreign solidarity activists, the locals elaborated.
The village is the target of constant attacks on the part of Zionist settlers, and their lands are frequently damaged in those attacks.
In a related context, Israeli forces stormed several neighborhoods in Nablus in the northern West Bank overnight and detained five Palestinians after ransacking their homes, Palestinian Authority security sources said Sunday.
Sources said 10 Israeli military vehicles entered the city at 3am, detaining their homes after extensive house searches.
