A UAE's global campaign to cure one million children near Somalia

The UAE's global campaign to cure one million children has arrived in the areas near the Kenya-Somalia boarders where tens of thousands of children are suffering from malnutrition in the wake of the famine in the Horn of Africa.

Volunteer doctors and surgeons with the campaign to ˜Cure One Million Children', which was created as a social corporate responsibility partnership among the agencies to help needy and sick children around the globe, are extending help to children who are threatened by various diseases as a result of the worst draught in HOA in half a century.

The campaign to cure one million children all over the world was launched by the Zayed Giving Initiative through the UAE Humanitarian Field Hospital for Children (Riaya).

The campaign has visited several countries including Pakistan, Egypt and India before moving on to the Horn of Africa.

Emirates World Humanitarian Mobile Hospital, Emirates World Heart Group, UAE Red Crescent Authority (RCA), Zayed Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation, The Khalifa Bin Zayed Humanitarian Foundation and other agencies are collaborating on the Horn of Africa operation.
