Qatar Charity has announced it achieved 147 projects in Bangladesh in 2011 in the fields of water, sanitation and improving income for tens of thousands of people.
QC International Operations Executive Director Mohamed Mubarak Salem Al-Adsani said that these projects come as a response from QC and charitable people in Qatar to help their brothers in Bangladesh.
The projects were done in different sectors and included a multi-services complex that cost QR 600,000, different and income-generating projects such as sewing machines, purchasing cattle for needy families, in addition to building mosques, digging medium and deep wells to provide drinking water.
QC is a non-governmental organization, founded in 1992 for the development of the Qatari society and other needy communities.
It works in the fields of sustainable development, reducing poverty, and disaster relief and emergency response.
