UAE's help Pakistan Project distributes school bags in Swat valley

The UAE's 'Help Pakistan Project' continued its humanitarian mission by distributing school bags to help the children in Swat.

Over thirty thousand school bags were distributed among children as the new academic year started in the valley in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province, located close to the Afghan-Pakistan border.

The humanitarian initiative is being implemented as per the directives of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, to support education of the Pakistani children, especially those who come from families with limited income.

The 'Help Pakistan Project' has several phases covering education, development and building of infrastructure.

Last year, works started to build schools in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa province as part of efforts to help rebuild the nation following the disastrous floods last year. The projects include several schools for primary and secondary education.

This project comes within the framework of the UAE humanitarian efforts aimed at supporting the needy people in various areas and regions of Pakistan and alleviate their sufferings.

Abdullah Khalifa Al Ghafli, Director of UAE's Help Pakistan Project said that distribution of school bags comes as part of the efforts undertaken by the project to help poor children and orphans in Pakistan to continue their education.
