Qatar Charity (QC) will carry out a number of aid projects for Syrian refugees in Turkey and Lebanon worth QR7 million, the organization said Sunday.

In a statement released yesterday, Qatar Charity said that the projects were part of the "Syria Cries for Help" campaign, which would benefit tens of thousands of affected Syrian families.

The project will be established in cooperation with Turkish IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation and will include food and medical packages for more than 25000 affected families, as well as clothes that will be provided for more than 10000 refugees.

Qatar Charity and IHH will also provide tents and electric generators that will benefit 3000 families.

Qatar Charity CEO Youssuf bin Ahmed Al Kuwari said that the organization decided to establish the project in response to the growing needs of the refugees, who are increasing day after day.
Qatar Charity said on its website that the "Syria Cries for Help" campaign was aimed "to mobilize the support of communities within the state of Qatar for the benefit of Syrian people displaced inside Syria, as well as refugees on the borders of Jordan, Lebanon and Turkey.

" They also said that the project came in response to the "desire of the people of Qatar to provide urgent aid and assistance to their brothers, the Syrian people, who are facing considerable suffering in the wake of the events which have been ongoing for over a year now."
