Youth activists in the Gaza Strip have announced the suspension of protests they were planning on conducting Monday morning against the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF), over accusations of awarding tenders for Gaza projects to Israeli firms.
The activists have asserted that they were waiting for the results of a meeting with a number of national entities including the Palestinian Contractors Union, Palestinian Water Authority, and other parties with the UNICEF.
They have sent a warning message to the UNICEF stating they would not accept half-solutions, adding that the phase of suspicious transactions has ended.
The activists renewed their calls for donors in Arab and Islamic countries, specifically the Gulf Cooperation Council and the Islamic Development Bank to avoid funding UN agencies.
