Sheikh Ikrima Sabri warns that AL-Aqsa mosque is in real danger
humanitarianvoice - 2012-05-30

Sheikh Ikrima Sabri, Chairman of the Supreme Islamic Council in AlQuds

Sheikh Ikrima Sabri, Chairman of the Supreme Islamic Council in AlQuds and preacher at the Al-Aqsa Mosque, described the Israeli flag-raising in Al-Aqsa's courtyards by the Israeli soldiers is a serious and unprecedented act which aims to impose Israeli control over Al-Aqsa mosque.

Sheikh Sabri told Quds press that the flag-raising came in parallel with the repeated storming of Al-Aqsa Mosque by the occupation soldiers wearing military uniforms which confirms that Al-Aqsa is in real danger.

We are not exaggerating but we foresee the future in light of the increasing acts of the occupation that target al-Aqsa Mosque, Sheikh Sabri said, expressing his disappointment over the Arab and Muslim countries' silence towards the Judaization process.

He warned against the consequences of allowing armed Jewish settlers to repeatedly break into the Al-Aqsa mosque, saying that such measures set off alarm bells, and adding that the Israeli storming to Al-Aqsa aim to take control of the Mosque noting that the Palestinian, Arab, and international general situations encourage occupation authorities to repeat attacks on Al-Aqsa Mosque.

Sheikh Sabri stressed that Al-Aqsa Mosque is an Islamic Waqf and it is only for Muslims. However the occupation authorities do not want to recognize these rights, they only want to satisfy the Zionist right in its perpetual aggression.

He also added that the occupation bears the responsibility of the consequence of these aggressions and violations.

The planting of Jewish fake graves around Al-Aqsa Mosque aimed to besiege and confiscate as much land surrounding the Al-Aqsa Mosque as they can, he explained.

He added that the aim behind the planting of these fake graves is to give legitimacy to the Jewish presence in AlQuds so the Palestinian land owners cannot recover their lands.

After the occupation failure in proving any alleged history in the occupied city of AlQuds, it resorted to fraud and to blur the facts through planting fake graves, he said.

Sheikh Sabri pointed out that the people of the region know very well that this area did not include graves which confirm that these graves are fake and unreal, adding that the occupation has planted dozens of graves at the same time without neither the presence of families of the “dead” or mourners.

Sheikh Sabri noted that occupied AlQuds is witnessing daily an accelerating and dangerous process of settlement and Judaization, where occupation authorities are trying to gain time and take advantage of the world concern in the Arab spring to achieve their aims of judaization before Arab spring achieves its aims.
